Information:

The thermal transfer coefficient U (also thermal insulation value, U-value, formerly k-value) is a measure of the heat transfer through a single or multiple material layer with different temperatures on each side. The lower the termal transfer coefficient - U -, the better insulation the installation component provides!

Sandwich panel 2 = core + foil covering (VIP) with glass /
aluminium and circumferential EPS insert edge band

Sandwich panel 3 = core + foil covering (VIP) with aluminium /
aluminium and circumferential EPS insert edge band

  • There is a circumferential EPS insert edge band in the marginal area of the panel (or similar material)

  • The core of the insulation panel consists of pressed powder, whose main component is micro-porous silica. Other components include opacifiers to minimise infrared radiation and cellulose fibres to improve mechanical stability.

  • Using a special process, Vaku-Isotherm GmbH wraps the core material with a gas and water-vapour-proof, metallised plastic composite foil, and then evacuates and seals it.

Applications

Use as a sandwich panel in window and door constructions
Use in glass facades and conservatory construction
As a panel in post and rail constructions
VIP combinations with respective surface layers:

  • Sandwich Panel 1 = glass / glass
  • Sandwich Panel 2 = glass / aluminium
  • Sandwich Panel 3 = aluminium / aluminium
Features:
  • Ultra high-performance insulation sandwich panel as a construction component ready for installation

  • With this solution, the panel is just as thick as the other glazing, and can be integrated easily into window, door, post and rail constructions

  • The panel has better insulation values than the insulating glass under use

  • The circumferential EPS insert edge band placed between the respective surface layers in the marginal area enables optimum insertion of the sandwich panel, and absorbs the desired seal pressure.
    The panel is not translucent!

  • Also ideally suited for low or zero-energy areas

  • Ultra high-performance insulation with low thickness and extremely low coefficient of thermal conductivity

  • Implementation of hitherto unfeasible insulation solutions

  • Vacuum insulation panels have a long service life

Terrassendämmung

Features:
  • vakuVIP Vacuum insulation panel with gum matte on the bottom side and 15mm PUR panel which makes it totally protected against damages
  • The panels are specified with a 50mm PUR liner around the VIP. This gives the possibility to cut the panel in case of tolerances of the building site or measurement failures.
  • We supply also PUR parts in the thickness size of the ordered panels to give the possibility to adapt to special circumstances (Pipes, etc.)
  • A stable and strong protective tape on the edges is applied and specifies all areas which cannot be cut.
  • Within the are of insulation (not on the edges) no PUR material is applied to achieve a maximum of insulation effect of the VIP.
  • The vacuum insulation in the ultraVIP panel do have an extremely low heat conductivity value of 0.004 W/mK (start value)
  • Especially in terrace applications the very low height of 38 - 63mm (depending on the requested thickness of the VIP) of the panels are a big plus as this makes it possible to achieve an even level between terrace and inner building.
  • Starting of 58mm of height passive building standards (Germany) can be achieved.
  • Standard sizes are usually on stock. We are used to manufacture special formats as well to perfectly plan your insulation with a floor plan.

Applications

ultraVIP was specially designed for the insulation of terraces and flat roofs. It is a combination of our products vakuVIP SP-2/E and vakuVIP Gum-1 with the difference that instead of polystyrene a 15mm PUR layer as well as a 50mm PUR liner is used. That makes it possible to flexibly adapt the edges (cutting) according to the building tolerances on site up to 30mm. The result is a perfect fit solution with outstanding insulation values.
